Signed by Fl Lt S T Wingham of 102 Squadron. he then joined 76 Squadron and was shot down 22nd/23rd April 1944 and evaded capture for 5 months. Then flew Mosquitos with 105 Squadron and he was one of the last 4 aircraft of Bomber Command to bomb Germany on the 2nd May 1945
